About the event
We are going to be excavating the newly identified brick pits in the Valley of Stones.
No prior experience is required, we will teach you all you need to know.
We will be undertaking work that can potentially be strenuous. We will take breaks during the day but please be aware of this. If you are concerned there will be less demanding tasks available. Please communicate any concerns or requirements you might have on the booking form.
If you have not excavated with us before we you will need to have an induction. If you can attend one of the specific induction sessions (16th, 21st and 23rd June) this will speed up the process and maximise your time excavating. If this is not possible we can cover it on the day.
Tickets
Your ticket to excavation!!
We are now asking for small donations in exchange for tickets to many of our activities. We are introducing this to try and reduce the number of short notice cancellations we receive. We can only accept small numbers of people on the excavation and consequently, late cancellations have a significant impact upon the number of people who are able to engage with the opportunity. Every person who donates will have a stone named after them on our final sarsen recording map!
