Event Description

We will be excavating near the Grey Mare and Her Colts, a prehistoric monument. No experience is required but you need to be prepared to be outdoors for the whole session, and have reasonable physical mobility to enable you to safely take part in the excavation. Please get in touch if you have any specific limitations, there are usually a variety of activities to do and we will endeavour to match you up appropriately. Please do not book for more than 3 day to enable as many people as possible to have the opportunity to excavate with us. Digging dates are: 8th-12th June 14th -18th June 20th- 23rd June We have a designated team for opening up and backfilling outside of these times so don't worry about getting stuck with that job if the 8th or 23rd suit you best! We're also looking for volunteers (Excavation Interpreters) who are happy to talk to visitors and walkers who pass by, if you feel able to do this role (fully prepared by us) please let Hayley know.
